Fresh Flower Arrangements Page
This document is about adding a product to the Fresh Flower Arrangements page.
- Banner photo – the intent is for the photos on this page to have a consistent look. The original photography should be shot in landscape orientation, with a lot of background area around the floral arrangement. The photo should then be cropped and resized to 1140 px wide and 762 px high, with the arrangement in the center scaled similarly to the other photos on the page. That graphic should then be uploaded to be the featured image for the product.
- Short Description – A sentence or two should be pulled from the full product description and entered into the “Short Description” field for the product. Whatever is in there will appear between the product title and the price on the Fresh Flower Arrangements page.
- Product Categories – Any published product with the “Fresh Flower Arrangements” category will appear on the Fresh Flower Arrangements page.
- Sort order – The easiest way to control the sort order of the products on the page is to go here and then drag and drop the products to the order you want. I have found that WordPress does not always respect the order you choose the way you tell it right away, so it is helpful to have the page open on the front end while you rearrange the products in the back end, refreshing the front end page and adjusting the order until it appears the way you want.
